Back in New York!

Phew! It has been a long time!

I finally got back to America last night at around 8PM. I left Hong Kong on August 4th in the morning, took a 4 hour plane ride, had a pit stop in Tokyo for a connecting flight, and took another 13 hour ride from Narita to New York. I hate planes so much though. My leg cramped so many times while sitting down. I took the plane with my mom and thankfully I was blessed with some pretty good seats. My first flight I was given a nice window seat and the 2nd ride I had the aisle seat so I was able to stand up whenever I wanted to in order to stretch my legs. All of this information is probably irrelevant but I like to share it anyway.. haha.

So, I stayed in Hong Kong for a grand total of 9 days. Basically I spent the first 6 days meeting up with relatives and having lunches, dinners, house visitations, shopping, and a little bit of sight-seeing. It was pretty interesting. I have a lot of relatives there, my dad has 9 other brothers and sisters, so you can do the math. All except for 2 of his sisters live in Hong Kong, so you can just imagine.. plus my mom's side of the family lives there too..so I had to see them too.

Apparently in Hong Kong, they absolutely LOVE shopping malls. In every subway station, there is a huge shopping mall that comes with it. I guess this is so because it is so hot and humid in Hong Kong all the time that it's impossible to walk outside for very long. There are 2 streets that are outdoor-like flea markets, where everything is bargain-able and really cheap. I liked shopping there. I met up with 3 of my friends from New York in Hong Kong. It just so happened that we went at the same time. I went on that huge cable car ride to the large buddha in Hong Kong, went to Disneyland (which although everyone in HK thinks its terrible- I really liked it a lot!!) and I also went to TST to see the infamous Lightshow and the "peak" to see the skyline of Hong Kong. The view is amazing and Hong Kong has one of the best skylines in the entire world. Honestly, the night view is definitely more colorful and interesting than the New York City one.
